my guess is , Yes it will bolt on. BUT, I've never tired to either.
But typically 47RH trans are considerably just heavier/better built internally.
I';ve never looked at it from a comparison angle so this is all nothing more than a guess on my part.. But,,,,'I think' the OD sprag is a heavier duty unit, more clutches, and the shaft lube passages may be drilled larger to accomidate said changes.
And If I remember right the main / output shaft on the 47 series OD units are larger than the 46 series OD units . Thus requiring a larger driveshaft

Other than needing a different piston spacer ring, it went together without a hitch.
That is all you would need to do , other than the different clutch count , 47 has more clutches , it'll bolt right on and hold more mower . just make sure you follow the manual on how to check the required spacer needed or you'll smoke the OD clutches
