493 ci based on stock 440 block (.030 over, 4.15 crank)...manley h beams, ross flattops- 12.5:1ish compression. Indy 440-1 heads that have been ported, not sure on the flow. .689 roller with 268/272 duration at .050. Indy 440-25 intake with 2 750s set up by Bob George. 727 with 2.77 first and converter flashing at 5200. 4.10 dana with 29.5-10.5 tires. Only had it out once this year, and on the second full pass it went 10.04 at 132 in a 25 mph headwind. Will have it out this weekend. Same combo with about 12:1 comp went 10.31 at 132 with the stock '63 cross ram on it. 3370lb with driver.

Did you change gears, stall, or cam when you replaced the cross ram and went to the Indy How much higher are you shifting. I called Indy and asked some questions but I got the cold shoulder. Any input would really help

Changed nothing but the intake. Well...cam is different from the 10.31 pass but i used that cam early last year with the cross ram and it ran about half a tenth faster for the conditions, but we hurt the motor before we could get decent air. It went 10.44 with that cam in a 30 mph headwind at the same track in similar conditions to the 10.04 pass. Also, the nose on my car is drooped and we had to get creative to make the front carb fit. Was shifting at 6500 with the cross ram. Went to 6800 with no change on the indy, but we changed something else for the next pass so i left the shift point at 68 so as not to corrupt any information we got..

DVW that would be my guess as he is running Holleys. No holleys with wedges right? Which car is it the Coronet or the Fury? Dah I just looked at your handle yours is the Dodge.

both cars are hemi 4 speeds.. i have the black 330.. stage 5 aluminum heads. bullet roller cam. jerico trans.
the plymouth has the same combo. but, has a g-force trans.. over the winter he changed to a sheet metal crossram and removed #450 pounds.. that car should dip well into the 8's this year..
How's the drivetrain life with the stick at the Dodges weight? I'd love to run a stick but the mantainance scares me. What type of trans, axle, and clutch? Doug
