I just published an article entitled "Burnouts 101: Heat Your Tires Without Beating Your Parts" at The Dragtime News regarding some technical aspects about burnouts that might be of interest, along with other just-added items. Those of you who know me know that I get 350 passes out of a set of slicks, so perhaps the info will be useful. I hope you like it.

Great article Bob ...thanks for the reminder...I have a very light car that requires very little burnout. Sometimes the driver forgets that ...I'm on the same set of slicks I bought in 2007.

The last big-money I won .... 8 huN .... was on a set of 7" cheater slicks I bought 5 years earlier ...and they were 15 years old at that point !!

Absolutely, like I said in the article "old habits die hard." Sometimes we forget to keep it simple and just do what's needed to get the job done.

Thanks for your reply, glad you liked the article.
