This is a followup on the coil getting hot thread. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...rue#Post4581423 After dealing with this problem and installing the FBO kit, I realize my wiring has been monkeyed with in the past. Could some of you check your ecu wiring harness and tell me if the black with yellow tracer wire is going to the - side of the coil. Thats what all the wiring diagrams a see show. Mine is going to the + side. Could this have been causing my problem all along? Thanks for your help!

It seems like the car wouldn't run with the wires hooked up wrong on the coil.
Anyone???

actully it can run hooked up backwards.. and will make the coil hot as you stated above..
switch them around
I think you'll find this is incorrect. the cause for running hot, that is.

Yep, mine ran that way. It was always hard to start though. I rewired it, and boy does it fire easy now!

This is really strange. My car will not even start with the wire going to the - side. Fires right up with it on the + side though! Blasted wiring!!!!!!
