whats the last yr for the single wire NNS on a BB 727?

68...I swapped out the rooster comb to a 69-70 piece to gain the 3 prong switch when a 68 tranny went into a newer vehicle on one build...John Kunkel had a thread showing the swap a few years ago...And here's the link in the tech archives to the switches... link ...

i have a Bb tranz here that looks up as a 71 maybe early 72 but has a single wire NNS

I thought it was 68 as the last yr,just confused on the pan rail #s listing it as 71

may have to crack it open to see if its been rebuilt or what the facts are with it

and to make sure that switch matches the rooster comb

The '64-'68 single wire NSS will usually work OK in a later trans.

No need to disassemble, just remove the NSS and look in the hole to see if it still has the '71 roostercomb
