you know what. Just installed my first BB in my 69 Charger. 440/505 w/Indy EZ heads and TTI headers. What a pain. My small block car, 68 Cuda w/TTI headers is a piece of cake. It's soooo easy compared to this darn thing. This BB better be worth it. Hell I can't even hardly type as I busted my middle finger.

Yea way too many problems with a BB in those cars - just give it to me and go buy yourself another A body and a SB and save yourself all the pain

So got any pics and specs of MY new ride

i'm betting it'll be well worth theextra effort. besides, the bb will be putting smiles on your face long after the finger is healed.

Think yourself lucky, you're not trying to shoehorn it into an A body with TTI's.

Lol! I'll try to post some pic's if I can figure it out. It's my first rodeo with one of these BB's. Lot of bench racing taking place with envious Ford and Chevy neighbors, as to which one will be faster. I'm just sitting back and listening to them as they are certified experts and giving me plenty of "advice".

get ready to hand those "experts" their own buns. You will love the new ride. If you don't I know of a very deserving poor guy in MN that will gladly buy the 69 for the original list price

The best part will be on cruise nights when some idiot looks at your engine and says "I used to own a Hemi like that..."

Oh, yeah, some of them tell me that my SB stroker Magnum is just a copy of a SB Chevy.

I feel your pain! Now install the RB with TTI's, 727, CSR trans shield & new starter (worked good on the bench),put it all together after major floor modification only to have new starter click & smoke! I know it's going to be worth it.

Please,,,don't mention any starter problems on here. I have almost completed my required professional therapy sessions and have almost forgotten the trauma I went through following, not one, but three starter problems in the early life of my RB/TTI/727/A-body ride...

Oh, boy, now ya'll have me real excited. Installing the 727 today. The lift helps along with the tranny jack, but looking at those headers it looks like another battle awaits. I just bought a '95 Dodge Dakota starter per most peoples recommendations. I hope it works!

Did you install it from it the top or the bottom?

Bottom installation is an easy, one man operation.

You might want to remove the torsion bars before installing the headers. This makes things way easier on the driver side. I've installed them with and without the torsion bars. I keep the end of the bars greased up and can pull them out in about 15min.

also check the clearance between the starter stud and the block, sometimes they touch
