I changed my carb from a 750 edelbrock to a 770
Holley St. Avenger. I have encountered a problem
which since I only made one change is maybe
the carb.
The engine will free rev or go down the street up to 2000 rpm
and then starts cutting out
like the secondary is trying to come on or runs out of fuel.
Here is the back ground ran down the road fine
with edel 750 but had a bad acceleration
bog which would kill the engine from a dead stop.
The timming is at 12 int. 36 total at 2400, ootb
jetting 72/75 in the avenger, 6.5 power valve, 28 shooter
and black spring in the sec.
The engine has a m-1 dp and mopar RR replacement purple cam.
The fuel pressure maintains 6psi and vacuum in gear at idle is 15".
Before I put the edel back on any ideas what to
change?
