It's a Buddy Bar 2 piece aluminum intake. It's for a small bock. I have never seen anything like it. Kinda looks like a max wedge intake.

Could this be a Nascar piece or an old proto-type?

Can't post pic's yet.

Any guess's?

Thanks / Rick

Interesting intake. It looks a little like the Hemi bathtub intake. Here's the bottom.

Yep! That's it. Found out a lot more about Buddy Bar Industries,They make alot of cast aluminum parts for a lot of different companies.

Thanks for posting that pic, The one that this guy brought up has a single carb top on it, Looks like they milled it out of a piece of flat stock.

May buy it just for a conversation piece.

Thanks / Rick...

Looks like a copy of the "Smokey Ram" intake (aka SY-1) by Edelbrock circa, 1970 or so. Developed by Smokey Yunick for smallblock Chevys when Trans-Am outlawed multi-carb set-ups. Like a regular X-ram--good at upper RPM ranges, As I recall they recommended an 850DP on it for 302 cubes...........

That is an STR-13 it has been around for a long time. The STR-14 and STR-15 are still very popular RB and Low deck Big Block intakes.

Pretty much a track-only manifold, Guys have used & are using 'em still, If your motor is set-up for consistent high RPM, I'd use it.
There's some tricks to 'em that'd take too long to go over here. Find someone that's familiar with 'em ( there's a guy on "For A-bodies Only) and pick their brains......
