What ballast resister to use? #975114

Hi, Looking for some suggestions on what ballast resister to use on my street rod. Its a 360 with a Mopar Performance electronic ignition.
Any help?

go to parts store and ask for 1 for a 74 360 cuda.

pretty much depends on what coil you plan to use. OE coils iirc have either .5 or 1.5 ohms on the pri side. the ballast supplied w the orange/chrome MP kits is nominal 1.25 ohms but not sure what coil that kit is designed for

Thanks for the in put. The coil I got is new, chrome cased one that I got from a swap meet. There is nothing on it except (+) and (-)?

The cool guys use .25 ohm (for a Blaster 2 coil for instance). The sinners (and losers) use 1 ohm or above. Which produces more heat and takes longer to recover ? Why, the resistors they sell you at the parts store !
