Wish I could have brought home a bigger check. It is signed but they did mis-spell my name for the fourth year in a row..Guess I should check before I leave huh. Anyway loosing to the track in the semis of Q16 I guess is not so bad. At least I lost to the eventual winner. My last four races this year have been 3 semis and a final so I feel ok so far... Better than the NHRA/The Strip. Still waiting on my check from the Divisional a couple of weeks ago

Mine was signed and my name is spelled right, just missing some dollars. I thought it should of been more money.

I didn't see what happened to your car, but it sure looked bad in the pits. I guess you are ok? It's a nice car and something different. You plan on putting it back together?

The car can be replaced or fixed, I'm glad your uncle is ok. Good luck getting it back together.

I got an unexpected check in the mail yesterday... Payout for footbrake.
Fig was the one who eliminated me. Fig, if you don't mind, PM me with what you received. I'm curious how they worked the pay scale on this "100% payback" class.

I called Painters office when we go back and questioned how much I received. It was supposed to be 100% payback if there was more than 16 cars, there were 17. They called back and apologized, they young lady doing the payout was not aware of the payback promise. The first check I received was for $200, the other check has arrived but I can't get it until tomorrow. I'll let you know how much it was. The winner's first check was $250, don't know about his make-up check.
I have a video of our race, I'll figure out a way to post it for you.

Hey, well, you know how far back I was eliminated and I still got $50...
100% Payback = 17 x $150 = $2550
Here's how I see what happened.
Round 1 - 17 cars - no $$$ Round 2 - 9 cars - $50 to the 4 losers (me losing to Fig) Quarter's - 5 cars - ??? to the 2 losers Semi's - 3 cars - ??? to the 1 loser Finals - 2 cars - $200 + $$$ to runner up (Fig), $250 + ??? to winner

Ashame the pay-outs have to be such a mess, especially in the upper echelon brackets like the Q-16, as they are often the highlight of the show.

It looks like they paid $50 per round won. Second round losers 4 at $50=200 2 Quarters losers $100 each,= 200 1 semi At $200 ? So the winner should get $1500 and runner up $700 . This is assuming they dont refigure and up all the payouts. The slant six guys were supposed to pay $50 per round win as advertised and done the last two years but they only paid winner and runner up.No round money. This issue comes up at every race at every track, the payouts are drastically cut even when its a so called guaranteed payout, due to low car count, but they dont up it when car count exceeds expectations.
That is grounds for a lawsuit. At least never show up again, and let everyone know.
I try to stress the importance of written payout for everything. Otherwise it is a waste of good oil/gas/fossil fuels, etc. Not to mention your time and effort.
