Would it be possible to install a long arm (B-body) shifting mechanism in E-body with a regular pistol grip? Trying to achive a shorter shifting pattern. How much hecking would need to be done to the cross member? Is it difficult to fabricate the shifting rods? All this being said is it worth the hassle or am I just pi$$ing in the wind?
Thanks in advance. Just love this forum

I don't see why you would have to do any of the mods you are talking about unless the shifter rods are almost touching the crossmember now . Good point you bring up though as I am going to be doing the same thing in my Dart GTS , I guess you could just cut a small notch for clearance ?
