I've got a Sportsman fogger here and I have quite a few 318's to mess with. I have one 318 that has less than 2000 miles since it's been gone through. It does have the stock pistons and moly rings.

I won't be spraying it frequently but every now and then would be fun.

My question is..Would using the Nitrous be a bad idea with the stock pistons? I know stronger ones would be better but you tend use what you have and can afford.

How many horse is the kit? I would think if it was no more than a 125 horse kit it would be okay. You might get more accurate answers if you pose your question in the race forum.

hmmmmmmm........I'd go with forged pistons if it were me but I will say.i have had friends that used stock pistons with no problems but they used a small shot. If your gonna plan on using more nos....trust me....once you use it your gonna want more....id put in some better pistons and be done with it. Check ebay or on here maybe ya can find a good deal...........good luck

You would be fine just long as the tune-up is good and take out plenty of timing. I'd say 175 would be the max I would use. Just for comparison been 6.70 1/8 with a completely stock 98 explorer 302 in a 2900lb fox mustang with 250hp on it.

One day I will have something cool here.
