Stroke it.... your engine is pretty close to mine...
416(340 base) 4" stroke, .620 lift roller, 11.1
compression(diamond pistons) W-5 heads(ported), M-1
large runner intake, and either a 1050 dom or a 850...
518 auto with OD, a 5000 stall, 4.10 or 4.30 gear
and 30" QTP

With the duration that I am running(260/270) I will
only turn 7000 ... I ported my own when I was still
working at Chrysler so I had a flow bench to test with...
I will guess at 525-550hp... I'm sure I can make more
with some different parts but these parts are what
I have laying around the shop... I had a 4" crank
and a set of Eagle H-beams, have a few 340 blocks,
I had the cam, I bought new roller lifters and I
bought new pistons... all my other pistons I have
are big compression stuff(and I had 3 sets of new pistons)

4" crank would be nice. Alot of power for a stock block though....
Maybe keep the rpm down. Or a 4.125 K1 crank...lots of options!

Flat top pistons in a zero deck application and 63 cc chambers will net you about 11.8:1 compression with a 4" arm. You have heads that are capable of supporting the inches so I'd go big. You might be able to run a lower (numerically) gear set to keep the rpms down and make things a little less peaky. I would upgrade the I beam rods to some H beams though. Unless they're something other than Eagle SIR or the better but still not quite up to par Scat 4340 I beam rods. I like the Scat I beams, but the bolts aren't as beefy as I'd like to see. If you want to spin the motor, upgrade to Program splayed caps or to a better block. Stock block will handle a lot, but they do have limits.
