Trying to figure out what way is the best to limit front end travel on 67 cuda. stock front end. torsion bars. qa1 single adjustable shocks. never had this issue with the ss springs in tha back and stock shocks up front but now that i have back halved the car, 4 link. the front end never really settles going down track. I would like it to be atleast level with the rest of the car. any ideas???

Please clarify.

You seem to be asking two different questions.
1) Limiting front end suspension travel (extension)
2) Getting the front end to compress (settle down) going down the track at full power.

well the more that i think of it, its both. the front shocks are not letting the front end down, while going down track. this could also be from the rear suspension being to soft. i had the rear shocks at full soft. but what i am trying to do is have the front end lower while under power going down track

If the front moves freely(both up and down) you can
put a front spoiler on for down force on the front
but thats after you are SURE the front moves freely...
it could just be air getting under the front

I have a 68 Dart with stock suspension and a 4 link and it does the same thing.

Maybe the IC settings on the 4 link?

My car likes a IC thats kinda long and high and it has loose shocks on it with the "drag" torsion bars.

I thought about trying a set of 340 bars or something with less stored energy than the drag bars have and maybe double adjustables up front to stiffen the extension to slow it down.

It's real easy to use the existing factory bracket for the upper control arm bump stop (visible in the above pic) and a tall rubber bumper with a threaded male end that goes through the bracket. You can adjust the height either by trimming the tip of the bumper, or placing a spacer or washers under it; my car uses a 1" tube with welded ends, which bolts to that bracket and the bumper attaches at the top.
