A PB VB won't work with a console or column shifter; the PB VB's don't have a Park position for the manual valve in the main VB casting.
Simply changing the roostercomb and manual valve won't work either, there has to be a hole in the casting for the added position.

Thanks for all the replies.I won't have my VB casting number until tomorrow.RO51 Hemi, thanks I did find the e-bay link to T-flite Patty,s dong a search. They show a correct VB in their list, have you bought anything from them?John Kunkel, thanks for clarification of the VB difference,PB to column/console.If I understand correctly the added detent keeps the column/console lever locked in the park position, where the PB was locked by the separate park lever. Is it possible for a PB valve body with the same casting number to have the necessary hole but unused?Or if no hole is present is it possible to modify it to work? Thanks again,Ron

not to hi-jack the post, but i just picked up a cable operated trans,is this a one year only trans?,it has 2 cables, and instead of a slip yoke,it has a round plate with 4 bolts that the driveshaft would attach to.is this a motor home trans or something older than i am use to seeing?
It could be many diff years ....it even could be a CAST IRON torqueflite. Do you have a pic?

If it's aluminum, 2 cable with a flange it should be 62-64. I have a BB one set aside from when I was doing 57-58 Mopars.
