I have a Holley 600cfm vacumn secondary carb with electric choke. It seems any possible vacumn leaks have been plugged off and the throttle linkage seems to be setup ok as well.

It's on a 400 with a squarebore intake ('68 or '69) with no adapter plate-just a gasket. The electric choke is not hooked up but would that cause it be revving that high?? I don't think so??

The carb was running fine on my '69 Barracuda

Check and make sure the secondaries aren't stuck open a little.

Can you move the carb linkage with your hand?
Do you have the throttle return spring hooked up?

Some manifolds will not let the secondary arm clear. I had to use a 1/4" heat insulator type gskt with a 3310 and LD340, for example.

Thanks folks..
I found the issue. The primaries were open because of how the throttle cable was attached. It's installed and running great but I have not quite figured out the best way to hook up my throttle cable and kickdown linkage.

It's a modified Holley from some carb shop out in Texas. So far, it runs leaps and bounds above the Edelbrock 750 that was on there. I have not taken it out on the road.

If anybody can show me their installed Holley carb, it is much appreciated!
