Any particular grease to use on seat tracks? Just want something that won't run into the carpet when it's 120 or so on a hot summer day. I plan to use wheel bearing grease unless someone has a better idea.

Any pointers on cleaning the tracks out before the new grease?

Clean them in a degreasing tank , flush with brake wash , repaint as needed and use a HI TEMP grease , maybe a lithium base , or even god forbid WHITE grease ???

White Lithium and or Molykote works

Use "wire rope" lube in a spray can - CRC is one company that makes it. It will go on like water, pentrate into the roller pin and then set up to form a thin film (all you need) and its clear.

Unless you plan on moving the tracks REALLY, REALLY fast I can't see the need for a "high temp" grease !!!
