I ran 16 x 32 goodyear D1 last year.i i am looking for sugestions as far as brands. i see a lot of people running Hoosiers or M/T . i think hoosiers have a wider section width with the same size tire than goodyear.

M/T has a pretty big section width as well. I switched from GY to MT last year and have been very happy. I use a stiff sidewall 33x15.

isn't D1 built for a dragster? D5 is what you need for a door car I think.

I thought the D1-D5 was the compound

it is but the D1 is for lightweight cars/dragsters. you wouldn't want to run that on a heavy car.

35.3 This is what i had (LW) light weight (MS) medium sidewall. i think most D5 compound have medium soft sidewalls too. i think it depends on the weight of the car.

i checked the M/T in my size the section wtih is close but the circumfrence is 102" on my old slicks and the M/T are ether 100" or 103" . how much diff would that make ?
