i'm getting ready to install a crt full man rev pattern vb in my 727 with trans in car and i've never done any trans work other than changing pans and filters, but have plenty of commom sense and can figure most things out as i get into it. i was just wondering if there is any tips or tricks that i must do? my only concern is that if something is installed wrong that i may not notice. and wonder if i should adjust anything while in there. thanks for any info ive put this off for bout a year and im ready to try. getting spring fever i guess.

I installed a reverse manual valve body in my transmission about a year ago. Don't worry - there's really not much to it. It's basically just a matter of unbolting the old one and installing the new one. BUT, you may want to take a picture of your shift linkage before tearing things down, just to be safe. Note: there may be a spring that you are NOT supposed to use in the new valve body. Read any included instructions.
Good luck.

Place the shifter in Park and turn the rear wheels until you hear the park sprag click in, this will make the park rod easier to remove from the tail; don't turn the rear wheels while the VB is out.

While the pan is off adjust the rear band.
