Does anyone know if anyone reproduces the 6 cylinder torsion bars for a 70 duster I think they are .830.

There are 3 different diameters available for the a-body from Mopar...here are the part numbers for ya

P5249148 .810" diameter
P5249149 .870" diameter
P5249150 .890" diameter

I got these right out of the catalog

The 6 cyl bars are .830 I am afraid the .810 may be a little spongy for street use and the .870 may be a little to stiff. Just looking for a happy medium.

The .810 bars were a bit soft w/my big block so the .830`s made sense and work well for me.

The part numbers you gave are for .810, .870 and .890 none of which are what I am looking for.

Dom, checked the local yards but so far with no luck.

I believe all slant six bars were 810...thats what I have in my scamp with a iron headed smallblock street car with no problems at all

The drag bars from mopar are .790...so as far as i know, .830 was not the 6cyl t-bars, possibly A/C 6 cyl cars or smallblock cars

I got a pair of /6 no ac bars.. I want $10 so that make AWB's $5... LOL Just kidding

SB A body, just run the /6 non ac bars.

Here are the numbers on the bars for the factory equipped cars:

/6 888-889
/6 w/ac and 318 non ac 890-891
340 892-893

I don't know the diameter use the above to select what I want to use.

If you say so...........I measured my bars that came out of a 6/cyl. car and they were roughly .830-.835 accordingly. Maybe a freak thing but that`s how they measured and mopar pef. calls their .810 bars their"drag race" bars.

Im only going by memory here, dom...I was told before that the drag bars are .780-.790 range

but that chart that sledge posted shows I was told wrong lol...I find it weird that mopar doesnt sell the slant six bars if they are .830...either way, i posted up the part numbers for whomever needs em
