Was thinking of buying new bezels for my 70 Runner.

Is this an easy process, I see screws in the front are there any tips or tricks?

You will need to drop the steering column down and remove the entire gauge cluster. The bezel screws to the cluster housing from behind.

Very strait forward..
But as mentioned drop the column down, pull the front screws, disconnect the nylon speedo connector. Pull out the entire bezel slowly.

I actually found that by pulling out the radio & plate allowed my hand to get up behind the speedo more easily.
Also tag each harness plug.

Just my ..
