My interchange manual says buckets with headrests are the same for 68-69. But it also says the rails are different. What's the difference between 68 rails and 69 rails? - - - - - - - 65 Coronet

I just don't want to plunk down the bucks for buckets only to find I need to find correct rails. Anyone else ever heard of rails not being the same? Maybe (hopefully) the book is wrong. - - - - - - - 65 Coronet

So I guess they could be set to the correct height if I wanted them to be 'correct' for a 69. I've found plenty of buckets for sale, but all have been listed as 68-69 seats with no mention of the exact year. I guess most don't know of the difference in the rails. SLIM , since you are going away from stock with a conversion to buckets I don't think that would OR should be an issue. Good seat cores are hard to come by , nevermind the prices I have seen being asked, take what you can get, nobody will hardly notice that ...

badblack68 master B Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 5,044 At a gas station near you	The last bucket seat rails I saw like those were on my 1964 Plymouth Sport Fury. I`ve never seen adjustable rails on a set of 68 bucket seats. The adjustment knob on those seats look like the oval early b-body type.

None of them are adjustable like in the picture. I have that same book Slim and I wouldn't bet on it being totally accurate. I can't afford this. mark

Can't say they were org as it was a car that had been worked over to say the least. The car was a 68 Coronet 500 and it was a org bucket with console car. The seats with the tracks are in July parts section and appear to be 68/9 frames with the plastic covers on the sides, but I have no idea what the pattern on the cover is Possibly c body
