First thanks Dr DIFF for responding as fast as he does .
Friend of mine is looking for (4.30 pro gears) for his dana 60 spool had 5.13s originally .
Why is this such a problem with vendors .
I see some don't show them ,others have special notes .
I found a post from 2009 on moparts same senerio.

When I was looking for 4.30 gears several years ago (7), they were not as easy to find then...I could only find street gears (but they worked fine on my low 9 second 3500 lb Challenger).

Im not sure why they are so difficult to find.

There only made by U.S.Gear,distributed by Strange. I was told that the pro gears were out of production for a while,but they were going to receive stock shortly. I would give Strange a call and see if they came in.

I've been looking for these for 2 years also. Dr. Diff said he would try to come up with some a couple months back but so far no word.

Yes, the only source was US Gear. Unfortunately the company went bankrupt several years ago and was recently bought by General Dynamics.

The new company, AxleTech is finally starting to ramp up the old US Gear product line.

Thanks for the update DOC. That probably means there won't be any 4.30s in our lifetime.

Ford 9 inch might be in the crystal ball.

I have US/Strange 4.30 pro gears in my Duster. They used to make them in "batches". If you were looking between batches, you were out of luck until the next run. I didn't know they went under.

street gear [ 4.30] in my charger runs 9s all day long ? but i would not run a pro gear because i drive on the street , never had a problem with street gears

The friend that was trying to locate the 4.30 pro gears call strange and is buying them through them directly.
Buying them and receiving them .I wonder when .
i'll post if when they get them .

My 4.30 street gears worked fine for awhile but after 360 passes and 160 of those were with a transbrake in my car they lost 13 teeth on the ring gear I want my money back. This is why I went with a ford 9" gear selections are not a problem

best so far 8.53 @ 158.59 MPH 60'1.240

I am running 4.88 street gears over 150 passes all of them on a brake with the 60's in the low 1.3x at 3000# and so far they are fine.

70 duster full chassis super pro 416 CNC Indybrock heads 727 w/brake

best so far 1.212 60 6.219 in 1/8 at 110.88 9.768 at 137.81 1/4
