I saw a post on here awhile ago about eliminating the coolant bypass hose and can't seem to find it. I'd like to get rid of mine. Any downsides to eliminating it? Do you run some sort of restrictor in place of the thermostat or a thermostat with a few holes drilled in it? This is for a car that see's limited street use.

I run a restrictor disc with 5/8" hole.

If you have a thermostat you slould not eliminate the by-pass hose. I have a by-pass hose on mine even with a mez electric water pump. There is zero gain to eliminating the by-pass other than giving motor a cleaner look.
