stainless hose fittings leaking? was about to fire up the car and purged the fuel system to fill the carb and several of the -08 an 90 degree swivel fitting's started spewing at the swivel part,,,,do they ever come out of it or is it time to order new one's,,I figure the O ring's have shrunk from the fuel.

i have not personally, but an acquaintance bought a roller that had been sitting for a couple of years. the fuel system was all braided, and looked to be in perfect shape. when time came to fire it up, there was fuel leaking EVERYWHERE. the lines, the fittings, everywhere. what a mess. the moral of the story: nothing lasts forever.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?

I have had swivel fittings leak more than once, now I use non-swivel fittings and make sure they are angled correctly when I put them together.

Well bit the bullet and ordered all new 90 degree fitting's and will fix it right, hopefully they will be here on thursday so I can fire it up that afternoon, guess I will start cleaning the winter dust and grime off of it.

I just had 2 Russell Swivel Fitting leak also. They were the -10AN ones. Came right out of the small hole. and out the swivel part.
I'm only using Fragola from now on and Aeroquip.
