Got a 89 Lebaron 173,000 miles on it, For the last two summers if you let it sit for about 20 to 30 minutes it won't stay running after you start it up after it has come up to tempature( hot under the hood). It starts right up then dies , then crank and crank. Have spark and fuel pressure (13.5 psi). Put the ether to it and it will start up and run but barely, until like the gas cools down the throttle body, and then runs fine. Have replaced the Throttle body tempature sensor and fuel regulator. When dead cold starts fine ? Any suggestions?

Hall effect sensor is my best guess.

1989 leBaron is my guess. My 87 i bought new was such junk, I unloaded it at 13,000 miles just to get rid of it.

You say you checked fuel pressure and spark. Did you check them immediately after it died? Fuel pump could be dying only after it gets hot for rinning so long. Also, no unusual coolant temps?

Really? Because right now in my family we have 3 Daytonas, 2 rampages and a shelby charger. Maybe I've been doing something you didn't because these cars have been rock solid realiable for me.

Nah, it was just a lemon through and through. Even was in communications with Lee's office during the whole thing. They were VERY understanding!

I traded it in for my 90 Ram (excellent truck!) then the Ram went to the Sundance Duster (excellent car!), so all was not lost.

Fuel injected cars don't vapor lock. My 81 Holley carbed 2.2 did!

Hey.... Found out what the problem was. Bad injector. Barrowed a Niod light from a Mechanic from a local Chrysler Garage and when the car acted up I hooked up the light and if the light pulsated when cranking the engine the computer was doing it's job but the injector wasn't. Injector cheaper than the computer
