I know I've seen some small power steering pumps on some Mopars. Thought I heard one was from a Jeep?

Thinking about putting power steering BACK in my Challenger. Probably get a FirmFeel Stage 3 box.

AndyF? Have any brackets/setups?

Magumforce Racing markets a lightweight steering pump kit for big block/Hemi applications that has pulley and bracket options. I don't know if it is designed for a regular OEM power steering box or will only fit rack in pinion steering. Good Luck

I think FF was working on a kit to mount a newer saginaw type pump with the remote reseroir but never put it out for sale.

I purchased a very small p/s pump some time ago (we're making brackets at the moment). I'll see if I can dig out a photo & get manufacturer details. Has remote reservoir.

The circle track guys have tons of kits. Seach Speedway Motor or other circle track parts houses.

They offer a aluminum housing pump too.

Problem is there are no Mopar brackets. But Rocketride said he modified a Chevy SB bracket. PM Rocketride.

Here is one of those circle track units on the Hotchkis E-Max Challenger.

I have not seen a Small or Big Block Mopar adjuster bracket kit for all these new mini type power steering pump. They sell them in kits for the hot rod guys now. The pump is common for all these kits. Just no one makes Mopar adapters.

They are made of a flat plate and then round tube standoff from the block.

Jerry, could this be a product opportunity??

I could definitely make something that bolts up, i assume most guys would need a v belt pulley for them also. i need to know what people want to see and what belt they need to line up on. thats always been the headache with the mopar pulleys, is that there are so many of them, that its hard to make on kit to fit all apps. on my serpentine belt kit, i control the spacing on every aspect of the kit so it fits right the first time.

Jerry,
I would be interested in a bracket that mounts the GM Type II pump to a small block for a Rack and Pinion conversion that uses a GM rack. I would be using a V pulley.

I designed a bracket kit for Firm Feel but I don't think they ever put it into production. Call them and see if they have something, or have a lead to a kit. It seems like a good product to me but it isn't a bolt in deal. Probably need metric adapters for the hoses and few tidbits like that.

KRC has one for SB Mopar, Hotchkis and I are using the same bracket. The problem is that the 3rd pickup point does not exist on all blocks, seems pretty common to newer engines (Magnums).

Bolt hole in question is just right and above freeze plug:

KRC SB Mopar bracket:

Hotchkis made an extension tab and ran a long bolt from the engine mount. I made a Z bracket. Similar solution to same problem.

Thanks!! I also found a setup at www.hotrodlane.cc shown in the link below but I cant find a decent picture of how it fits to the block.

http://www.hotrodlane.cc/08%20catalog/Page%20149.pdf

I will look tonight to see if I have the hole in the block.

If anyone has pictures of the pump installed it would really help me out.

Thanks
Scott
