I have too many projects currently so a new rearend is about two years away for this car so...
What is the biggest tire and 15" Torq trust D that I can run with the stock rearend?

I know you guys will want a pic and this is the only one I had on the computer, sorry for the quality.

Generally, a 15 X 8 with 4.5" backspace and a 275/60-15 works.

really?
That seems like alot of meat for that wheelwell But I do have some 8" "D"s off my Roadrunner. I'll put a 275 on and try it out.

Thanks for the response.

If you're still running the tapered axles you might have to go to a 4" backspace instead of the 4.5". Most guys change the rears out to '65 and up.

The outside of the fender lip rolled up so the tire doesnt rub.

The red car has them rolled and was like that when we got it and the white car in my sig. has them cut off. I guess its all in what you have clearance for. Cutting them off would give you the most room.

I have 10X15 Cragar Super Tricks with a 3 1/2- 6 1/2? spacing and can...put a 13" wide tire under it if I hammer the inner wheel well(that goes under passenger seat). I didn't want to do that so I went with 10X28 slicks and.. NO wheel lip surgery needed.

Well after a year, American Racing finally got some 8" Torq Thrusts over here from China!!

I said in an earlier post that I had 8s for my Roadrunner but they were 8 1/2". Now after a year I finally got the wheels on my beater and I think they look good.
I know, the slapper bars gotta go but I've only had the car for a year and a half... give a guy a break!!

FWIW, I bought a 65 B-body rear AFTER I bought these wheels but I havent put it in the car yet. It still has the 64 tapered axle unit. There is no rubbing and I didnt trim the lip.

Looks good and so does the Cuda. I put a 65 rear in my 63 as I did not want to fool with the hubs when pulling a drum. Ron
