Was looking through old pics and found these. This is what I drove in high school. It was an original 55k mile 383 R/T. It had white interior, 3.91 SG, and was stupid fast! I remember it had a hole in the gas tank so I could only fill it to about 1/2. Talk about stopping at every gas station!

When I bought it, it was sitting next to a barn in Sebring, OH. The motor and trans were out, motor had spun a bearing and was pulled for repair in the late '70's but never was fixed. I paid $800, hauled it home, picked up a '70 New Yorker with a 440 for $100 and swapped in the motor and trans. All stock with Hooker headers and glass packs. Had some fun in that car!

I'd love to find it again. Last seen in '90 or so near Youngstown, OH.

Was going through some photo albums with some family last night.I was only 5 in 80 but that look is far from uncommon! My uncle Brad looked just like that in his 1980 wedding pics other than the czr they were leaning on was a 67 Galaxy500 fastback..what a chester car...but why did the car rust away on you?A daily driver??

ANd to the original poster..great pic,i'll prolly dream tonight i found that green car just as in the pics in some barn by a widow who wants it outa there!!!

All the muscle cars were daily drivers back then. They were all cheap too. I paid $1500 for the T/A. It was from upstate NY and had a bad case of cancer and AMD was still 30 years away.
