I can't beieve some crashes and the driver just walked away or was even alive

I'm sure there was at least 5 or 6 of them that bit it.

I would like to see where racing is in another 60 years. They will probably look at US and say WE were

I had a feeling when I opened the attachment it would have early Indy/track cars.

Back then, the hp technology far outpaced the safety. Definitely a reactive measure since most racers hate adding weight & cost.

Even the drag race videos, in the 60's, look scary for the people standing behind fences along the side of the track.

Hence, the demise of the budget sportsman.

At 1:35 after the car stops rolling, the guys feet are where his head should be

Thats crazy bouncing/flying around with no seat belts....

This reminds me of crash I/we CPD had deal with this week.

In Cleveland this past week we had a Nasty fatal crash ..person was going 100+mph in Hyundai (sp) changed lanes lost control got tangled up in a guard rail, the rail entered the auto from the passenger side of the veh.

The driver was thrown/pushed out of veh. by rail and ejected with driver seat out onto a busy freeway I-480 W/B ...where the driver was then struck by numerous autos....

When an accident happens the laws of physics are tested. This person was wearing boots laced up very high and its not the first time I saw this but still surprises me when I see people are thrown out of there shoes / boots

Bottom line.... its sad, but we have learned a lot from others mistakes.
