I've got a base limited option 1960 Plymouth Savoy 2dr that I inherited when my grandfather died back in 1976. We're agoniziling slow on redoing an update on it. Way back when I changed the gas tank to one from a 1970 Chrysler that held more gas. Been thinking about maybe having one made to hold 25-30 gals of gas. One thing that concerns me is the filler is behind the license plate, as many cars used to be. You'd see gas pouring out the back when someone left the gas station after a fillup.
What I'm thinking is a drivers side 1/4 panel fill tube. Anybody ever done this or know someone reputable to do it the way I want? I guess to make it clearer, I'm looking for a new gas tank & have the fill tube come in from the side instead of the back & hold 25-30 gallons of gas.
