Just depends. On numerous occasions for me it was about 6-8 weeks. Well worth the wait. He does top notch stuff, but he is human, stuff can happen. I had a issue with a set of 440-1 heads he machined. I called him after we figured out what the problem was, just a simple mistake. The man sent me cash in 3 days to cover the cost to correct the mistake which covered the work and gas money to correct, which was cheaper and simpler to fix via sending them back and waiting.
What can I say, he has since sold me several sets of heads, cnc ported a set of hemi heads, exchanged parts after I went I diff direction.
The man is top notch.. I will go back next time also....
Top notch service, and actually cares after the stuff leaves the door, so customer service is top notch also.
I give him 5 Stars....
Yes he's busy, and hard to catch some time on the phone, PM here and he will get back to you.

Both sets of heads I ordered around mid December, and had them towards the end of January. So about 4-5 weeks for me.

whats a stage III port job?
I can tell you he might NOT have a clue what your talking about or want.
Im not sure he hand ports much any more, maybe for experimental or cnc program creation.
If I was wanting good work but not full CNC port work, why not contact Dewayne Porter on this board.. another great guy with great service.
I suggest you hit the tech archive and do some research, it will explain what you might want to know about diff levels of port work. Which can and will be totally diff from shop to shop..
I know Indy's Super Mod port work on a set of -1's is nothing more than a gasket match on the openings and maybe some bowl blending... About $750-$800 worth of work one could accomplish in a hour or two doing all 16 ports at home.

everyone seems to have a stage 1 thru stage 3 listed as servise on the web sites. Stage 3 would be a complete port and polish head job normally runs around 800 to 1000 bucks

Thank you

" how long does it take"? I sent my stage 6 mopar heads away in september!!! Its march now and no replys to my emails or phone calls! I know the man is one of the best out there and i'm willing to wait for quality work, but the wait is getting to be a little too long.

i seen a stage 4 once. stage 3 heads won't work without stage 3 rods, and at least a stage 3 (3/4) cam.
