The voltage regulator on my car is in good shape and looks nice but is a Chrome Echlin unit and I was thinking of putting one on that is more correct. Looking at the ones offered by Mancini, I'm confused. Which would be correct for a 70 Challenger? I don't understand the difference in their OE Muscle Car vs. The OE ones. http://chucker54.stores.yahoo.net/oemuscarvolr1.html

IIRC -There are 3 types:
All have black cases but with different lettering color & date codes (offered by Mopar Performance) & other vendors
1)-white lettering & pentastar , date code of 419 (41st week of 1969) correct for 1970
2)- white lettering with pentastar, date code of 321 (32nd week of 1971) correct for 71 and Im assuming late 70?
3)- yellow lettering, small pentastar, and date code of 271

I have a few restored '70 NOS ones. If interested, pm me the date code you need and I'll see what I have.
Good luck !

Hi Joe! Here are a couple of NOS versions. The one on the left is an untouched NOS unit and the one on the right is a sample of the units that we restore and offer to the market.

But Dave ECS does have the ability to accommodate right?? Ron
Yes. I personally paint and re-stamp these myself. I use a mix that is an exact match, sheen and finish to the originals and also have many different stamps to accommodate various dates.

Most original T/A and AAR's I have seen were dated 100 - 10th week of 70.
We have a couple that are 10th week of 70 and 14th week of 70. They were done by ECS a few years ago.
