I am changing fluid and need to know how much of this Mobil 1 synthetic fluid to add? I think it is around 2-1/2 qts. but I don't want to overfill it and make a mess!
Thanks Mike

P.S. What a pain in the drain this is to do on the floor of your garage on your back and with wheelie bars in the way!!!

If there's not a "fill-to" plug on the back:
Lay your previous (stock?) cover down & fill it with water. Pour that amount into the Jeg's cover. Then take a large measuring cup, fill it to a specific level, and add to your existing level. That's the difference for the whole cover. If the oil level of your old cover was 1/2 or 1/3 up the inside, reduce your calculation of the difference accordingly.
If there is a fill-to plug, it's pretty much a no-brainer.

I had the same problem. I just pumped fluid in it until it started to spill over alittle. Not too big of a mess, lol!

2.5 on my girdle cover, but 2 is plenty for a drag car

I've never seen a cover that didn't have a fill hole, just fill it up till the lube runs out.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

Some aftermarket covers have the fill hole way to high to use as a "full mark".

My aluminum T/A cover with cap preload bolts is one of them... Not sure about the Jegs cover.
