so i have a 518, in a 71 ply. can i use the old speedo pickup with the factory speedo? Seem the 518 has a smaller diameter speedo nylon gear. thanks

I retro fitted a 1990 A-518 into a 72 Duster. I was able to use the speedometer cable with out a problem.

so a basic 904/727 old style housing and larger nylon gear works?

If you need to use both speed sensor and cable, use sensor from a early Dakota


-65 Valiant,420", all motor,2700#, dot tires, 8,42 @ 160,2
