Looking to prime my 440 and I want to think that the direction to spin the drill is counter clockwise for some reason. I can't seem to find clarification on that. Can someone please chime in on the priming tips, please? Thanks!

Also while spinning the oil pump turn the motor over slowly by hand to get oil up to the heads.

Yes your drill needs to be in reverse. If you have it in the forward direction you'll spin your drill all day and not build any pressure. Having a helper turn the motor over while priming is not a bad idea.

Yup you can try it both ways, it won't hurt anything, your'll know when your going the right way by the feel of the drill motor. Took some fresh pictures of my priming rods.
The one with the yellow tape is homemade from a 3/8" peice of tubing.
