Get rid of the crash bars in the doors, modify the k-frame, remove inner fender wells, switch to manual steering box, remove heater / ac equipment.

Is it a street/strip deal or just strip? If the latter you can go a lot further

What year....????

It's an 89. Mainly street legal strip. Putting alum head bb in it. Trying to get as much extra weight out as can. Anybody know weight diff from power to hand crank windows ? plan on getting rid of all the junk under dash. Remove as much stock wiring as posible

There's a dodge that pulls pro stock around here and has done some considerable weight reduction. Other than gutting the cab like you've mentioned, he's said he's just gradually replaced brackets and braces with aluminum, cut some bracing from the box floor and anywhere else, etc. For us, if we remove the inner fenderwells, we need to add a plate that covers as high as the spark plugs for safety so in inner fenderwells are probably worth some pounds. It's been a while since I've have any of the glass out of a truck, but he figured replacing the side windows and rear window with lexan to be worth 65lbs.

I shaved almost 200 lbs off the front of my 440 truck

drop the power steering and pump

droped the power brake booster

droped the a/c heater box

droped the saddle gas tank

droped the iron intake

striped most of the wire harness out from dash and under hood

i weighed every thing that came off and weighed everthing going on

droped right at 180 lbs off the nose with the 440 in the 88 short bed

I could make the even 200 lbs if they made an alum wp housing for a truck along with the wp

also droped the stock truck axle for an A-body 8 3/4

went with weld draglights with M/Ts

I will get it weighed when it goes on the road
