i bought a Magnafuel pump to replace my dying Holley Volumax but the size of the by pass is different. the Magnafuel has a -8 & the old Holley has a -6. if i just put a -8 to -6 adaptor on the bypass will everything still be ok? my bypass line is only 2 ft long so it's not a large restriction, just a short one. anybody had experiance with this or does anyone know if this would be a bad thing? cheers guys.

Doesnt matter ... restriction is restriction...
it will depend on how much bypass the new pump runs
but if the bypass is too restrictive the supply
pressure will climb

Mr.P do this restrictiveness has a affect on the life span of the pump do to increase line presure?

If you can not return enough through bypass it will over power your regulator and needles&seat and flood carb.(worst case)This happened to me with a holley dominator 525 pump.
