I just picked up a big block cam with H288 and 1182 stamped on the end of the cam. Does anyone one know the manufacturer?

It's a Crane Cam,....the 1182, I have no idea, there's no other stamps like -2c or the word "blazer" after the 288...

It's one of 2 profiles Int/Exh .458/.470 lift or .480/.494 lift

Crane has not produced an H-288 for the Chrysler B/RB engines. There are H-288-2 grinds for the LA, however. Any other markings on the camshaft (either end)? Regards, Chase

Which end is the dizzy drive gear on? That'll differentiate between LA and BB.

The distributer gear is right behind the fuel pump drive. The only markings on the cam are on the face the sprocket sits on. 288H, 1182 and large C on top of another C. The other end had some marking that was ground off. The lift on all lobes is .300 which would be .450 with stock rockers. It looks like it could be a Crane 288H Blazer cam.

The C on top of the other C leads me to think it's a Comp Cam. JMO
