My 527 bracket motor, 440 block with 4.38 bore X 4.375 stroke, SR heads with M.W. ports,Ross flattops with 12.8 to 1 comp. ratio,Manley 6.96 long H beam rods, Comp Cams custom grind solid roller, 275 @.050 intake with .420 lobe lift and 282 EX side with .409 lobe lift, 110 LSA in at 108 ILC. 440-3 intake and several different 1050 Dominator carbs made 775 HP at 6500 RPM(it wasn't done there, that is where I had the dyno operator stop the pulls) on a DTS dyno in Klamath Falls, which is 4200 Ft above sea level. That motor has the Jesel belt drive, bushed lifter bores and a set of 1.65 T&D rockers, Manton sereis 3 .120 wall 3/8 pushrods ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbs.gif) dual line milidon oil system, 10 quart Charlies oil pan with mopar windage tray and home made crankshaft scraper. The SR heads flowed right at 350 CFM at .600 valve opening on a super Flow 600 bench in Hesperia ,CA before I moved to Oregon. Your motor should make more than mine with the bigger bore and shorter stroke ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Twocents.gif) IHTHs

Head flow and header configuration are going to mean a lot here. Guessing your heads flow 340 ? Should make 770 to 790 hp or there about. Fully ported heads that can flow 370+ cfm and a cam that can use them (more lift) combined with 2 1/8 x 30 inch headers should push it up to 860 + hp. You have a great combo there. If you do head porting in the future and choose to try a different cam, a good off the shelf cam is Isky RR735. Virtually the same specs for duration it is 280/288/110 with .782 gross lift with a 1.6 rocker. Isky recommended I not go over 1.7 with this cam.

Well since your not going to dyno it just make sure you get a good weight on it so you can figure the HP after you get some runs on it ![](/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif)

thanks gregs dart, your right there on the flow, it was at 352 cfm at .700 lift. my goal here is to just be able to get into the 9's.

Your ET / MPH computed from your vehicle weight of 2900 pounds and HP of 790 is 8.99 seconds and MPH of 149.10 MPH.

My pockets are empty too, but I'd pick up cans on the side of the road to fund some decent headers before I'd run those headers on that combo. The rest seems good and the car should meet your et goals easily. It should push 800 hp with good headers.

Why not more stroke? just wondering, did you have a set CI you where wanting to stay with? or just wanted to run the longest rod you could? BTW it looks great.
hey randy, i went the smaller stroke to not go way up on the torque since i'm not going to back half the car. i have the widest slick than can fit right now. i chose the 7.100 rod since the pistons would weight less than had i gone with the 6.800 rod. the total overall weight was less with the 7.100 rod and a shorter compression heigth this way,

On our dyno I would say around 790-800HP. Very similar build to Gbob's and his made 768 with no spacer and 776 with a 1.5" Wilson tapered spacer. If nothing else, it looks fabulous!! Brian
