I am looking at updating the ignition. 528" Hemi, auto trans, 3.23:1 rear end, TTI 2 1/8 into 3" exhaust. The Mopar chrome box is what I am running now but have heard alot of potential problems with them.
I am thinking the MSD 6al.
My main question is will it "plug and play" with my factory distributor or should I just replace it as well?

yes it will work but it will not PLUG directly in , the connectors between the 2 are different .

If you're good now but want more I'd consider getting each subsystem of the dist spot on in order initial/total/springs/vac adv then for more going w a hotter coil and definitely peruse the coil/ballast thread on this page today

MSD used to make boxes with the Chrysler plug. I bought a brand new in the box M6 off e-bagger for $140, and plugged it in. Works fine..

Just my $0.02..
