having a 360 built for my daily driven 87 w100 pickup. this truck is sitting on 33 inch tires. basically stock build. block will be .30 over and the heads will be freshened up.4027596 this is the number on the heads. i will also be installing a slightly better than than stock "RV" cam. i have an edelbrock performer which is on my 318 right now or i have this intake that cam with the 360 casting number 4027596. i was told this was a 340 intake. which would be better for low end and economy? this is just a work/daily driven truck nothing radical.

A dual plane intake would work best for your combo. Low end to mid range power. The Intake you have should be good if it is a dual plane.

that performer is about the same as a stock 4-v intake but lighter

I run the LD4b/ld340 intake on my daily driver truck

night and day over the performer intake

on par with the newer eddie rpm airgap

woke my ol truck right up with the voodoo roller cam

Stock 340 or 360 intake will make more power on a 360 than a performer intake! Installed a performer on my Challenger in place of a stock 340 intake and lost a consistent 2 tenths in the 1/4. Ports on the performer are small and designed to work on 318's. The stock 340 and even 360 smog intakes are pretty well designed intakes. The only thing you'll gain by going to a performer on a 360 is a little weight savings.

so the 340 intake would work well with stock heads?
