Tim, What bearing are you using now? I had to go the other way (needed more clearance) and used a Federal Mogal bearing instead of a King and got what I needed.

What about Calico coated bearings? I believe that they are .001 less clearance. Or add K to a part number for coating.

the 142M bearings will yield MORE clearance, not less.
Have you measured everything to know why the clearances are more than you want? crankshaft diameter, housing bore size, etc? hopefully you have the experience to accurately mic the crank and your using the lightest tension possible on your bore guage. every time you wiggle the guage the ball ends can drop .0001 or more into the bearing, keep that in mind.
