I just bought a set of dual valve springs from Doug Herbert and I am wondering if the viton seals are my only option? I tried a set of fel-pro seals designed for dual springs but they do not fit. I would really not like to pull the heads but I guess I might have to. this is a street car with nice solid cam (about 242 duration at .50) I read somewhere else on a post that I shouldn't use the teflon for the street. true? thanks for any help.

I went through this last mounth

did not want to pull the heads

got 2nd set of springs and went with a single with damper that droped on with stock seals and no machine work to the head

machine shop said pc seals?,and machine work to valve guide and spring seats with the lunati double springs and damper

I just matched the spring rate and its good for my roller cam so far,6200 rpm

You can run teflon on the street with no trouble. You did already have the spring seats and guides cut, correct?

Well, art is art, isn't it? Still, on the other hand, water is water! And east is east and west is west and if you take cranberries and stew them like applesauce they taste much more like prunes than rhubarb does. Now, uh... Now you tell me what you know.
