Does anyone have a picture they can post of 1969 Dodge Charger or Coronet R/T or Super Bee painted Y4 Gold Metallic. Seems like a rare color now and back in the day? Thanks in advance

Gold was a very popular color for cars in 1969 and 1970. Heck they offered 3 shades of gold and one copper for 70 Cutlass/442's even.
70 Dodge offered two golds and one T3 Tan Poly.
Looking for a quality picture of a 69 Y4 Gold Metallic car. Can't seem to find one anywhere? Says to me rare or unpopular and was it a 1 year only color?
What car survived today and what colors people have choosen to repaint them, are not any indication of what colors were popular and ordered in 1969.

How many Valiants and/or Satelites. I think it's a color more popular with non performance cars. But that's just a guess, would like to see the production numbers.
And then...

I have a Y4 "Spanish Gold" 69 RR. Not a very common factory color, but that doesn't make it in demand or popular. Sorry no pic to post.
Brown, gold, green were all "earthtone" conservative colors that the mom & pop average buyers would buy. When dealers would buy cars to fill spaces on the lot........those were the colors.
It seems like Y4 was VERY common on Chrysler Newports along with medium metal green F5.
The trouble is............as those colors fade/washout they are really found repulsive even more.

It's 70 model year but same difference. http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/colorsExt/colorsExt-FY4.shtml
Actually it is different. FY4 was first used in 1970 (that's what the F means).
Here's a pic from Andy440's site.
Is the FY4 a little lighter shade of gold?
That Hemicuda I posted is restored modern repainted car.
