calrobb2000 top fuel C Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,997 s. e. pa.	hi the 340 outboard carbs have tabs on the booster to aid in mixture distrubition . the 440 do not . i would trade them to someone who needs them for some bb ones . remove the tab and ruin the value , also the metering blocks are different !

These tabs are there to help make up for a distribution problem in that specific manifold. They might/probably cause issues on any other manifold, such as a 440 version. In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
