I see the 340 & 440 six pack carbs are the same cfm. Can the 340 carbs be used on the 440?

Yes, just a jetting change.

Off topic my buddy finally got that blazer done , he pinched the temp sensor wire and that was what was messing up the trans shifts . Thanks again for the help

hi
the 340 outboard carbs have tabs on the booster to aid in mixture distrubition .

the 440 do not .

i would trade them to someone who needs them for some bb ones .

remove the tab and ruin the value ,

also the metering blocks are different !

Only if they are on a 340 manifold. These tabs are there to help make up for a distribution problem in that specific manifold. They might/probably cause issues on any other manifold, such as a 440 version.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.
