Texas_Charger OP enthusiast Joined: May 2008 Posts: 322 San Diego, CA, United States	I'm currently helping a guy check out a '71 Charger R/T that he is considering buying. The first four digits in the VIN are WS23, indicating a true R/T, but the car has a column-shifted automatic. For some reason I assumed all R/T automatics were slapsticks, am I wrong? DANA60 mopar Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 616 TP Exit 7, NJ, USA	I,ve seen many of the Rts, GTXs roadrunners with column shift. It does take the price down a bit on the cars that have them (resale, etc.)

Thanks! even HEMIS were posibly to get with column shift... there is at least one in Cali ( I have lot of pics of it, owner sent me a CD ROM of his car ) With a Charger born in Chrysler assembly plant in Valencia, Venezuela

NicksGarage master Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 4,127 Ramona, CA	Floor shift is optional for the automatic. My '71 is a column shift. I prefer that over the squeaky plastic console.
