I have a 1970 Challenger and I am redoing some of the front end and steering. I have redone the power steering and some other things but the car feels loose. I have heard there is a replacement for the rag joint on the column. I know Flaming River makes one($$$$$$$$), but i hear there is an over the counter part form the late 70's or 80's that does the same job for much less money. Is anyone familiar with this and could you explain it to me or send a link? Note this is a driver not a race car. Thanks javascript:void(0)

Thanks Todd, Thats just about what I was looking for. One question, I went to speedway and that part does not seem to pop up under Mopar Muscle car. Is it a universal or for something else?

I have thought about the rebuild, but a buddy just did that and still has issues. Also is there an option or product that does not need welding? If not I can get it done just wanted to see. Is anyone familiar with this factory replacement part from this 70/80's Van I have heard about in the past?

I never knew that E bodies had rag joints. I thought they were only used on '73-up B bodies and F/M/J bodies.
