Hello, this code po740, TCC circuit malfunction..

is this the Sol pack posibly going bad??anyone else have this problem?

it drives and shifts fine..i do find it hard to beleive its internal, maybe a VB or sol pack..


any ideas?

I don't remember if the 740 code was one of the ones I had (I think it was), but my torque covertor problem in a 2001 Town & Country was caused by a sticking "shift solenoid valve" that caused the convertor clutch to fail, send clutch material into the oil cooler and relief valve, which starved the planetaries and anulus gear of oil. $1200 later in parts I had it back together. There's a company called Sonnax (spelling?) that I bought an improved valve from. 60K miles and all's still well. Be careful, if it's the same problem I had, you'll save a lot of money by not driving it if the oil cooler is clogging with clutch material.

9 times out of 10 this code means the converter has gone bad.

wow hope its not the tcc? how do i know for sure? I have a astg man on the way.. is there a test? what are the chances its the VB or sol pak??
