69 Charger 440 auto (727) stock. Need to change torque converter. Don't know where to start as far as stall speed.

It depends on what you plan to do with the car? If you are mainly using it for a daily driver then just go back with a stock convertor.

Partially true. Depending on what company you call you might end up with something very wrong.

Sorry, not hijack your question, but having also a 1969 Charger with 440 and wondering what might be a good choice for it too?

Current set up is Comp Cams XE284H with 1.6 ratio rockers, 9.8:1 compression, 440Source heads, Eddy RPM intake, 850 cfm BG with mech. secondaries, 4050 lbs with driver, 3.73 gears, 275/60-15 M/T's.

What would be your recommendation?

Based on that, I'd say a 10 inch converter, between 2,800 - 3,200 RPM stall.
